ARE YOUR BREADS SOURDOUGH?
Yes! With the exception of our challah and a softer, Italian-style bread, all of our breads are sourdoughs. Sourdough refers to the leavening process, meaning a natural sourdough starter, rather than commercial yeast, is used to rise the breads. Our breads are also unique because of the high water to flour ratio we use (hydration), making for an exceptional crusty exterior and chewy interior.
